Daniel Kroiss - VP Business Development, CRM Division, LivaNova
Daniel Kroiss is Chief Scientific Officer and VP of Business Development within LivaNova?s 'Cardiac Rhythm Management' franchise, in charge of research and innovation, and leads, as such, the Advanced Research, Clinical Research and Intellectual Property departments.
Since 1982, Daniel Kroiss managed, within ELA Medical and Sorin CRM, the design and development of particularly innovative implantable devices, combining performance and miniaturization, with the goal of providing patients suffering from cardiac rhythm diseases, advanced therapeutic solutions. Daniel Kroiss has contributed to the achievement of world firsts in the field: development of the first dual chamber defibrillator in 1995, and the smallest defibrillator in the world in 2005.
Daniel Kroiss is, since the beginning of his career, an active member of both European and International standardization committees and provides his knowledge in the drafting of standards governing active implantable medical devices.
Daniel Kroiss graduated from INSA Lyon, France, in electrical engineering.
